Our idea is simple: We don't want you to feed your family food that we
wouldn't feed ours.
We believe that it is our responsibility to raise our animals in a happy, uncrowded, stress free environment where they have the ability to do whatever comes naturally to them. Respecting our animals not only lets us feel good about what we do, but also provides a healthier and better tasting end product.
We want to contribute to healthy lives by growing healthy food!!

Asher Farm unofficially started in the spring of 2006, when we started raising chicken for ourselves. We were extremely unhappy with the choices of meat out there, and wanted to know what exactly we were feeding our family.
After enough people started asking us to raise and sell them chicken, we decided to move out to the country and pursue our dream of contributing to sustainable farming, and the movement of people caring about the quality of their food, of what their food was fed before it arrived on their dinner plate, and how it was treated.
We now have 3 children, and are happy to raise them with small, local farming where we know the people who eat our food, and they know where our food comes from, as part of their every day life. We involve them in chores, and our children care about our animals as much as we do!
We're excited to be making an impact, of whatever size, to the food options available in the Winnipeg area.
