Info/ FAQs
We take pride in our family farm and the way we do things around here.  We enjoy our animals, we enjoy taking care of them and feeding them.  We enjoy teaching our children to take care of them, and teaching our children about them.

Respect is big on our farm.  We respect our animals during the time they are with us.  Not only because we feel it is our responsibility to show respect to living creatures, but also because we know we will be benefiting from our animals in one way or another and it would be a waste of life to disrespect the very thing that helps us.

We make choices for our animals that sometimes cost more.  For example, we purchase feed that costs more than traditional feed, and we choose to have more shelter space for our animals so they have the room to do the things they want to do.  The way we do things is very hands on, nothing is automated, and that costs us a lot of time as well.

We strive to make choices based on what is best for our animals whenever possible.

You can be rest assured that anything you purchase from our farm will have been treated with respect, with ideas that put an animal where nature intended it to be (outside with grass underfoot, for example) and that a lot of thought has gone into every process we use, every food we feed, and every type of animal we raise.

We are not in any way wanting to say that what we are doing is better than conventional farming.  But it is very different.  To some people, that difference holds a lot of value.

We are encouraged when people ask us questions, because that means you care about your food!  So if there's anything you want to know, please feel free to contact us.

What People Say About Asher Farm Products

Hi Larissa,
I just wanted to let you know how happy we are with our order.  We roasted one last night, all I can say is fabulous!!!  They are clean, beautifully packaged, and the taste is exceptional.  If possible we would like to have another 2 dozen for next year.  Keep up all your great work!!  It's very appreciated.
Thanks so much.

It's not even fair to compare your chicken to store bought chicken, yours is so far superior it's no comparison!!

I took a chance and ordered free range chickens off of Kijiji - not how I usually buy my groceries.  I was so pleased.  These chickens are juicy, meaty and very very good.  Much better than what you get in the grocery store.  I plan to be a regular customer and have told my friends as well.

We finally had a chance to cook and eat our bird on Tuesday night.  It was AWESOME, as always.  Thank you for sharing!
